MEET RAJ RATTAN

Dental Director | Visiting Professor at the College of Medicine and Dentistry

Raj Rattan’s remarkable career spans over three decades of clinical experience in general dental practice. From owning and operating a successful group of practices—including a 3-chair private practice and transforming a single-surgery site into a 7-surgery facility—Raj has lived the day-to-day realities of practice ownership.

His influence extends far beyond the clinic. Raj has served as Strategic Associate Dean at the London Deanery and provided consultancy to Denplan, the NHS, and the corporate sector. A former Government policy adviser, he has also been an international examiner for the College of General Dentistry and continues to shape the profession through education and editorial work, including his role on the board of Aesthetic Update.

In 2008, Raj was awarded an MBE for services to dentistry, a testament to his dedication and impact. He currently serves as Dental Director at Dental Protection and holds a visiting professorship at the College of Medicine and Dentistry.
